Elaine Gregory McKenzie
Elaine Gregory-McKenzie is a certified litigation paralegal with twenty eight years of experience and over fifteen years immersed in medical record review. Ms Gregory-McKenzie began her career as a research assistant for solo practioner, where she focused on research related to the defense of municipalities and insurance companies in worker’s compensation matters. She then worked for Michigan Legal Services of Eastern Michigan in its Midland Office, employed in the representation of eligible clients at administrative hearings in the Social Security and Medicaid appeal process. It was also in this position that she participated heavily at the state level of government on a number of legislative committees conducting surveys and assessments to contribute in the Federal Register public comment process. These professional experiences prepared her for paralegal employment with tier one firms in Detroit and later with New York “Wall Street” firms where she worked as lead case manager involved in the defense of hospitals in medical malpractice claims, as well as pharmaceutical companies in toxic tort matters and products liability involving breast implant litigation and hemophilia infusion products. Upon returning to Michigan, Ms. McKenzie returned as a paralegal case manager with then outside counsel for Daimler Chrysler supervising cases in ADR automobile warranty matters.
Ms. McKenzie attended Saginaw Valley State College, now known as Saginaw Valley State University where she majored in a liberal arts curriculum. Ms. Gregory-McKenzie continued her education and obtained a paralegal certification in 1983 from Ohio Paralegal Institute in Cleveland Ohio.
